My name is Nicole! I am a wife, mother, teacher, business owner, DIY'er and a writer.
I am the second of six children. I was born and raised in Northern California, leaving the area for a short time to attend college. I was a three-sport scholar athlete in high school and continued my athletics into junior college. At the age of 20 I left Northern California for educational growth, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo (2002).
My husband and I met early in high school. He attended Santa Clara University in California on a full ride baseball scholarship, earned his Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology (2002) and continued his independent baseball career until 2007. We were married in 2003 and became parents in January, 2004.
I became a college student again in 2005 when our second daughter was seven weeks old. I received my Spanish major and teaching credential two years later and started teaching high school Spanish as an intern. With two toddlers and a baby I began my teaching career and started writing my first book. Ten years have gone by and my first book is nearing its release. We’ve added two more children to the mix, making us a family of seven, and providing me with many more book worthy moments. I am very proud of what my book has become and I am excited to share my story with you.
As you browse my site, read my blog, or follow my posts, I hope you discover that I am a typical busy mom who truly cares about others. I really do want to make a BIG impact on my community and our world. My passions are numerous and include home improvement projects (small ones), health and wellness education, fitness and exercise, inspiring others, writing, teaching and personal development.
